“REITs have been there for a long time in other global markets like the US but in India, the Sebi started drafting papers for these kinds of investment trusts in 2007 and we got our first REIT listed on the exchange in 2019; it was the Embassy Office Parks REITs. There are 3 listed REITs in India.”
